Day 2 of PixelMater Masterclass
A more in depth lesson in mobile photography greeted us in the morning on the second day of PixelMasterclass with Jay Ermitano. The day included studying our photographs from day one and another photo walk around the City of Pines, Baguio City. It rained over that weekend but that didn’t stop us from getting the shots want during the photo walk.
Day One Photo Discussion
The morning of day two included a fulfilling breakfast and also received constructive criticism of our photos of day one. Each of our photos were shown through a wider screen and Sir Jay was able to do an in depth discussion with us on how to improve capturing moments. I took down notes on all his pointers and tried to improve my photos for day two photo walk.
The Photo walk: Old Diplomat Hotel
I don’t usually go to tourist spots around Baguio City but when I do, I usually enjoy it with a purpose. It was again a gloomy day in the city and I love the effect of it given the eerie location of the second day of photo walk. I like how raw the walls are, the empty spaces, cracked walls and rooms, and I even captured a feline creature roaming around the hotel which I think it was perfect.
The Photo walk: Botanical Garden
So much has changed in Botanical Garden, many structures and statues were built in their own themes but I focused on the nature theme of the location. There I was able to play more with photos of flowers, the insects and a little bit of architecture. Wow, just by being with fellow Zenfone users, I’m at ease to take more and more photos!
The Photo walk: Mines View Park
I said it my vlog and I’ll say it again, I have never been to this place for so many years now. There are so many tourists that afternoon but I really made a way to make my photos nice wherein I have to involve different walks of life at the view deck. I mysteriously and unusually took a photo of a woman alone just staring out of oblivion.
Again, my Zenfone 5 has been my companion for this photowalk, using its pro settings, I was really able to tweak how my photo would look like. With the guidance of Sir Jay in the morning, I really tried to observe more and be patient to the photos I would like to capture. This has been a wonderful experience for me and I hope there are more workshops like this in Baguio City or North Luzon.
