Where to Stay in Baguio City
Where to stay, what to do and eat in Baguio City? For the first time in my blogging career, my fellow blogger friends and I got invited to the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza Social Media Day! This prestigious hotel in Baguio City offers more than just a place to sleep. Keep reading and find out what else did we do that made our stay supreme!
The Supreme Rooms
Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza is only located along Magsaysay Road., Baguio City. It’s a few kilometers away from a hospital and just 15-20 minutes away to Strawberry Farm. From the Central Business District, it’s just 10-15 minute drive to get to the hotel.
The room assigned to us is for four people wherein it is equipped with four single beds. I didn’t need to worry about kicking or punching someone else’s face while I’m asleep. Pun intended! I love hotels that are complete with bedroom slippers, bottled water and toiletries. The room also has a bathtub. Swanky, right?
I did a room tour on my IGTV. Watch it here: Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza Room Tour
What to Eat?
Gloria Jean’s Coffees
Right after checking-in, we were welcomed to a cozy afternoon at Gloria Jean’s Coffees. Did you know that it’s the only branch in Baguio City? It’s one of the 11 branches in the Philippines. Gloria Jean’s Coffees is a retail coffeehouse chain company that started in Australia. Today, it operates more than 1,000 coffee houses in 39 countries.
What captured my attention is the wall mural. It’s as if I am transported to a hole in the wall coffee shop in France. May I just say, their coffee is just divine! I love the aroma of coffee in the afternoon, keeps me in the mood to still keep going throughout the day. Who’s with me?
Aside from coffee, Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza also offers various pastries from fluffy breads to delicious cake desserts! Plus, they have a fast internet connection, so freelancers like me would surely love this place!
Future Diner
To top off the first day in Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, we devoured sumptuous diner food! Yes, big burgers, pastas and pizzas! Future Diner is decked with popular movie posters, classic diner couch and tables, and black and white flooring. This diner has so much pizzazz because one of their best sellers is the “Mango Blast Pizza” wherein fresh ripe mango slices are on top of their very own cream cheese sauce! As they say, don’t knock it till you try it! For the record too, I highly recommend their Chicken Basket, it’s so juicy, yummy, straightforward and no fuss, perfect for adults and kids!
Lotus House
The Lotus House is a place to feast with family and friends for Spring Festival season in Baguio or just any other day! I attended numerous events and school grad ball in the old building of Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza but it was my first time to experience a great dining experience at Lotus House! If you’re looking for a perfectly home-cooked Filipino-Chinese cuisine, you should try this restaurant! The ambiance too is blissful.
What to Do?
Mt. Kalugong
We woke up at around 3am to for a 4:30 am call time on the second day of our stay. There are many tourist spots near the hotel and one site is just a trip to one of the popular hiking spots in Benguet. We have Mt. Yangbew, Mt. Ulap to name a few but we opted to try Mt. Kalugong to see the sunrise. Located in La Trinidad, Benguet, Mt. Kalugong is just about 25-30 minutes drive from the hotel. From the drop-off, we didn’t walk that far to get to the gate. Going to the peak of the rocky ridges of Mt. Katulong is about 15 minutes. I cannot express how much of a “scaredy-cat” I was during the climb. LOL. I admit I am afraid of heights, but with much encouragement from my companions, I was able to climb up the peak!
Spring Festival Media Fellowship
Our stay in Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza wrapped up with a gathering with fellow bloggers, media men, and other Filipino-Chinese organizations. It’s a night of the delicious feast, catching up with long-time colleagues, and we also learned more about our Chinese Zodiac Signs and 2020 predictions.
Thank you to our wonderful and generous hosts, the owners of the hotel, Mr. Peter Ng and Mr. Jeff Ng, also to the Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Chino Chow, for having us! Thank you Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza for an unforgettable and supreme stay!

Hello, I have written a few already 🙂 check the Food tab, but yes, I can write more coffee shops that are underrated but really good. 🙂
Mt. Kalugong is one of my go-to destinations in Benguet, really loved the vibes in their cafe, did notice that 3 hours have passed, already brought my family there. Would try also Hotel Supreme Baguio, good to note that they have these spacious rooms.
Glad you’ve already been at Mt. Kalugong! where is your next mountain to climb?
Hotel Supreme Baguio looks classy! The location is also good. Around magkano ang expenses if diyan magstay? May free breakfast buffet option ba?
Well, for an overnight in Baguio for 2 persons, I think, 5k is good na! There are always cheap but good options here. Their free breakfast is plated. 🙂
