How 2020 affected me
The past year would never be missed but I am taking some bits and pieces of triumphs and learnings. In this blog, I’ll be sharing some of my grateful experiences despite this world’s adversity. I hope it inspires you to keep going and appreciate what life can still offer. Here are my small wins in 2020.
Dancing & Fitness Goals
Apparently, during the height of the lockdown, being fit started making waves all over social media. I couldn’t help but join the bandwagon. Honestly, I knew I needed a good workout routine, too as I have mild scoliosis. I expounded more about my working out experience in a blog here: Lessons I Learned Working Out at Home
I never had abs, I still have flabs here and there but I am learning to embrace my body as it is while keeping myself healthy. Until now, I love dancing and I am glad it has been part of my workout routine ever since.

Creating Art

I’ve been putting off painting for so many years now but during the lockdown, I was able to pick up my brushes and started creating and practicing. I am really not into watercolor, but I am slowly pickup up the pace of loving it!
Birthdays, Mother’s Day & Father’s Day Celebrations
I am thankful for another year. Even though I expected so much for my birthday in 2020, I am glad I was still able to celebrate it. Father’s Day was surprising, too because Food Panda contacted some of us Baguio Bloggers and gave us some treats!

Brand Collaborations
I never expected that I would have a lot of brand collaborations even during the height of the pandemic. I am overjoyed to have worked with the following brands. If you’re all reading this, thank you for the opportunity! To my friends, family and followers, I couldn’t have done it without you! I hope I was able to highlight relevant content and the products/services I presented are helpful for you!

I have always been a fan of their authentic ramen since they opened! It was very exciting to make my own Agara Ramen at home!

Stay Grounded Coffee
I always love supporting local businesses especially when these businesses also support the local farmers. Stay Grounded Coffee is one of the noble brands. With so many coffee grounds I have tried, this is what I keep coming back to. I get to really experience the enticing smell of coffee in the morning paired with my favorite breakfast. Coffee in hand while working late at night or lazy afternoons, Stay Grounded Coffee keeps me company. I love the authentic and rich taste of coffee also the strong aroma that makes my heart happy that I am drinking really good coffee!
Journaling Journey
I got featured on Writing Hacks Academy’s site as one of the Filipina bloggers who practice journal writing. To be mentioned together with my idol, Abbey Sy, I feel surprised. I have more room for improvement but I am happy that some entities like them have noticed my work! Here’s the full feature: Filipina Bloggers who practice Journaling
Also, from the affiliate platform, I got to share my journaling journey through a free webinar on Journal Writing Philippines Facebook Page! Here’s what went down in that surreal moment: https://www.facebook.com/103209531448695/videos/1059583184459580
ComCo Southeast Asia Write to Ignite Blogging Project
Winning a spot at a blog writing contest is one of my best highlights of 2020! Sweet 16th spot of 70 blog entries of the Write to Ignite Blogging Project! 💜 All I did was to be straightforward, to be honest, and real about my story.
This is my blog entry: Write to Ignite Story
Blogapalooza Feature
I felt so “kilig” when Blogapalooza tapped me to be one of the featured influencers on their page. I wrote my script and called up a reliable friend of mine, Mikka to film it. My cousin, Ida helped me out, too! Watch the full video here: https://www.facebook.com/197431113625922/videos/828712261228449

Uniqlo
My style evolves as I grow older. I think everybody does! Hehe! Uniqlo is one of the brands that make basic wear still fashionable. Their garments are as timeless as LBD. I can no longer count how many Uniqlo items I have in my closet! When they go on sale, I check out the essential pieces I need in my wardrobe. I am really thankful for the opportunity to have worked with Uniqlo. From their press launch, opening even until during the pandemic, Uniqlo got in touch with us bloggers here in the North.

We’ve worked with Uniqlo even during t he pandemic. This shirt I am wearing UT shirt of Demon Slayer, my fave!
Moonleaf Tea Shop Baguio
Yes, another milk tea shop! What can I say, the trend stays! I love all milk teas, to be honest!

Personal Life
I just want to share that 2020 was the year when my dad’s eyes were cured to have that 20-20 vision! Hehe kidding aside, he doesn’t have that perfect vision but after his cataract surgery, as if he had a second life! Also, his eyes are probably clearer than mine, too! Haha! Well, our family is happy about that event in our life. Like any other family, all we want is to be healthy and happy!
Wrapping up 2020
Wow, what a year! I am truly thankful that I am still here in this chaotic world. As chaotic as it seems, I just want to find light, hope, love, happiness and to celebrate life. I am glad that my family is safe and healthy. To my friends, you know who you are, you kept me sane through the past year and I know you’re still there as 2021 events unfold.

Everything starts with small things, learn to nurture and care for them, and eventually, they will grow bigger. Same philosophy on taking care of your plants (or garden!). Congratulations on making your 2020 fruitful!
