Conversations. Camaraderie. Collaborations. Creation.
My first Blogafest experience was full of conversations with influencers and brands. The camaraderie was built and strengthened among us fellow bloggers and influencers during the event. There were also possible collaborations with different brands! The talks at the one-day event ignited me to make more content creation but with consciousness.
This year’s Blogafest, hosted by Blogapalooza took place at the Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams Manila last November 23. Blogapalooza is a Philippines ‘ premiere influencer marketing company that aims to connect businesses and influencers. My first Blogafest experience made me understand more about its business-to-influencer networking and marketing event.
This year’s theme is Carnival! I felt a sense of nostalgia on my first Blogafest experience because as if I was transported back to my childhood days! The grand ballroom was filled with colors, exciting music and dance lead by Party With Jive and so much enthusiasm from the organizers and all influencers! I felt like a kid as we danced to the beats from “The Greatest Showman” hit songs and from by Black Pink.
There are many guest speakers who shared different insights on different topics. I was live-tweeting some important points I heard. Let me sum up here some passages I learned from speakers:
-“You have to know your audience. Be aware of what you’re posting. “
-“To stay in the industry, you should be respectful.”
-“You have to be the bigger person.” (on dealing with hateful tweets against you)
-“Before you say anything even something not harmful, you need to take a moment.”
-“You need to know who the people who are following you.”
-“Be genuine and not getting content from others.”
-“It’s wit and reliability but staying true to yourself.”
-“If you want to have a strong relationship, be on the ground, meet the people yourself.”
-“To approach a brand, you should have done your research. Make sure you understand their product.”
These are just some reminders on creating conscious content. My first Blogafest experience taught me how creating content isn’t as easy as it is. It needs the sole purpose of why you’re doing content creation.
I never thought I could meet the people online in person during my first Blogafest experience! As I walked to the entrance of the grand ballroom, we’re all making friends already with different influencers across the country. I finally met Evo who I am interacting with through Instagram. He is such a kind-hearted person from Palawan! Then I met Jami Alveza, a beauty influencer who is such a doll! Mommy Debs of “Wandermom” who I hang out with me for a long time during the event. I love our long talks, Mommy Debs! Justine Chua, one of the panels from the talk is also a charm. She’s a lady with wisdom and wit, I love her! I was also looking forward to meeting Janford Bonifacio! He’s also an ex-journalist like me that turned into a vlogger! Of course, I couldn’t forget the beautiful babes, Alynna and Jahana Nicole! 90’s star, Danilo Barrios was there too!
I was so surprised to see Chubi Del Rosario, too! He’s one of the biggest crushes of my older sister during the late ’90s to early 2000s. He was a super cute celebrity and now he is running his own businesses. He is now part of Party With Jive company, he is a great and fun host!
Blogafest was also an opportunity to meet a lot of brands! One of the brands I went up to and stayed a bit longer is Fresh! I met the owners and I also shared with them my experience on how Jeju Aloe Ice healed my inflamed face because of the rejuvenating set. There are more sponsors who shared with us their products in the loot bag and from the booths, namely, Dove, GSM Blue, Sinalco, C-Lium Fibre, Ascof Lagundi Leaf for Kids, Photobook Philippines, WeRemote and more!
So here I am writing this blog about my first Blogafest experience. Aside from this “creation”, I am all the more motivated to create more content! Of course, I’ll be keeping in mind all that I have learned from Blogafest! Speaking, I already uploaded my vlog! Please do watch here!
