Father’s Day at Pine Country Steaks and Waffles

Celebrating Father’s Day is a fun occasion to celebrate especially when you have your dad is present in one’s life. I am lucky I still I have my Father with me, and of course my mama! For the past few years, I wasn’t able to celebrate many occasions like these with my family because I was working far away from home, well not too far. I worked in Manila for a long time and I didn’t get the chance to spend some birthdays with them. Now that I’m based again in my hometown, Baguio, I make sure to celebrate this kind of celebrations with my family. Too bad though that my older sister is now living her life in America, we miss her every day.

Onto the point of this blog, haha- here’s a quick review of a new restaurant I tried with my family, Pine Country Steaks and Waffles. This is located at #195 Saint Joseph Village, Leonard Wood Road, Baguio City. Coming from church, we walked going to Mabini St. near Harrison road and rode jeep heading to Mines View Park. This is only a short trip, for the three of us, our fare is only Php22! Pine Country Steaks and Waffles is easy to find, it’s just along the road, next to Safari Lodge.

Here are the photos I took at Pine Country Steaks and Waffles:

Verdict: We ordered Salmon Salad, I thought they’re serving the salmon “fresh”. I asked the waitress to ask if it is a fresh salmon, and even re-confirmed it at their counter. Thinking it is “fresh” like salmon sashimi, it wasn’t, it is cooked salmon. Perhaps she should’ve specified, “freshly cooked salmon” than confirming to me that the salmon is “fresh.” Anyway, salad isn’t their specialty, given the name, Pine Country Steaks and Waffles. I like their onion rings, good amount of serving enough for us three and I like that it isn’t oily. Me and my dad ordered porterhouse steak, it isn’t Australian porterhouse steak, we asked that. We like our steak medium rare, it was perfectly cooked. I just prefer that the steak is served in a sizzling plate but nonetheless, the steak is tender even when it got a little cold. Mama’s order, roast beef, is yum too! Glad she enjoyed that. The serving is really good. Mashed potato is yum, I can tell, it’s fresh mashed potato.

We also appreciated that they gave a T-shirt to my Dad! All fathers received one I think, on that day only. I like that gesture!

Alright, this is quite a long blog. It really took some time for me to write this. Hope you enjoyed it. Let me know if you’ve tried Pine Country Steaks and Waffles and how did you celebrate Father’s Day? Did you have a steak too?

Stay Radiant!
