Am I the only one feeling frightened but excited now that it’s already September? Where did the month of August go? I guess it has been really an Au-GHOST month-felt nothing but shivers! Lol! Anyways, while August was a rollercoaster ride for me, I was still able to come up with a roster of my monthly favorites. So, here ya go!
- Marvel’s Runaways
Here I go again with the nerdy side of me basically influenced again by my boyfriend. After watching Cloak and Dagger by Freeform, here’s another Marvel series from Hulu, Marvel’s Runaways! This is a story of six teenagers discovering that their parents are secretly members of a supervillain cabal called The Pride. I always love how Marvel develop the story sweetly and excitingly that leaves you hanging at the edge of your seat! These teenagers discovered their powers while on a run from their elders. There’s a lot of scheming and action here. The plot and storyline is really interesting. I finished the series just in a week!
- To All The Boys I Loved Before
A Netflix original movie inspired by the hit New York Time’s Bestselling book by Jenny Hann grabbed my attention because of its noise on social media! Some of my friends have been reading this book before, I tried it once but it didn’t pique my interest. However, when it was interpreted into a movie, I am already hooked! I would highly recommend you guys to watch this movie and watch how Laura Jean deal with her teenage woes, feel “kilig” and in love like your younger self. This takes me back to elementary crushes!
- Habibi’s Grill
If you’re in Baguio City, you’re lucky to have Habibi’s Grill just around the city’s central business district. This gem is right in front of Baguio City hall, across Rizal Park. I think I ate here twice or three times this month. Their Falafel plate and shawarma is just divine! Baguio people love “sulit” food finds and this is one of them! This is the best place for Arabic and Mediterranean cuisine! I really love their pickles in their Falafel plate!
- Face Republic
I found this brand through my fellow bloggers on Instagram. I checked out their products at Watsons and purchased their sample-size products, there are no full-sized ones at the branches of Watsons from where I am from. Anyways, I love all of their products! (please see picture below). I usually put either the sun gel or whitening cream under the bb cream. My favorite would be the BB cream; a little goes a long way, really! It’s easier to spread using my fingers. I also like the facial wash, it removes all the makeup residue left on my face.
- MAC Matte Lipstick in Honeylove 605
Thanks to my aunt who gave this to me all the way from Canada! I literally just picked out the bestsellers of MAC as mentioned in other blogs. She came home with this along with other MAC products which I will reveal soon if they would be my favorites. I like the nude lipstick of MAC, it was actually my first nude lippie! I was initially scared that I can’t pull it off but I love it because it really matches the smoky eye look I did! The formula is not too drying at all and the color payoff is perfect!
- Sooper Beaute Beautiful Skin with Vitamin B3 Serum + Tea Tree Extract & Vitamin E
Phew! All the goodness your skin needs in one immaculate bottle of elixir by Sooper Beaute! Again, I found this on Instagram by my fellow bloggers. I already consumed half of the bottle, and I have been loving it (obviously, it’s in my fave list)! Given the price, Php180, I think it is all worth it to add to my daily skincare routine. I love the cooling effect on my face and leaves my skin soft and supple. It’s like my first step to prep with the next stages of my skincare routine, and that is, facial sheet masks, eye cream, spot treatment and moisturizer.
I have a bunch of products to try on this coming month, I’ll let you know again if I like it or not! Hope these recommendations have helped you!
